Programs tailored for special needs in training.

The USQ Works offers special training programs for people with special needs to obtain the individual attention they need while still enjoying a fun group environment for extra fun and encouragement.

Vital

Healthy Living and Active Aging

USQ Works Vital is a program specially designed for the over 50 age group to help achieve health and fitness goals. All sessions are supervised by one of the USQ Works Success Coaches to ensure your safety and help you achieve the best possible results. Come and enjoy being active in a social and supportive atmosphere.

Healthy Steps

Gentle exercise for people with Special Conditions

USQ Works Healthy Steps is a fully supervised program specifically designed for people with special needs and health conditions to improve their health and quality of life. The aim is to provide a starting point for improving your fitness, strength, flexibility, endurance and coordination. The program is suitable for a wide range of people with special conditions or medical concerns such as:

  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Diabetes
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
  • Paraplegia
  • Osteoporosis
  • Physical or Intellectual Disabilities
  • Arthritis
  • Lower back or abdominal instability
  • Cardiac or Pulmonary disease
  • A clearance form from your GP or Therapist is required prior to commencing program.

Baby Time

Gentle exercise that’s perfect for mums, dads and bubs of all ages, ideal for new parents!

Come and meet other parents, enjoy a variety of exercises with a qualified instructor and still keep bub close by!

The major benefits of the Baby Time programs include:

  • maximise overall body strength
  • develop muscles you need after having a new baby
  • learn safe baby lifting and carrying techniques
  • interact in a fun, positive way with your baby
  • help your baby develop important life skills

Baby Time includes:

Movement Time

A workout designed to stretch, flex, strengthen and relax the body by combining the best of yoga and Pilates. All movements can also include baby.

Power Pram Time

Starting with a brisk walk to the Japanese Gardens, enjoy the great outdoors whilst you perform a series of exercises designed to tone and strengthen, whilst keeping baby close. Please bring hat and sunscreen.
